Your questions, answered.

Delivery, measuring, materials, glass, colors and locks — the answers our team gives most often, in one place.

Ordering & delivery

How long does it take for my front door to arrive?

Delivery time depends on the door line you choose. Typical timelines:

  • SIERRA (stainless steel): about 4 weeks of production + 1.5 weeks of delivery
  • FUSION (stainless steel): about 8 weeks of production + 1.5 weeks of delivery
  • ALU (aluminum): about 6 weeks of production + 1.5 weeks of delivery
  • Pivot (aluminum): about 6 weeks of production + 1.5 weeks of delivery

Our team will confirm the current estimate for your model, configuration and destination.

Are the doors delivered with a frame and locks?

Yes. Every door comes with a frame and a set of locks, and each lock is supplied with a set of 5 keys.

What kind of warranty do the doors come with?

Each door line includes a manufacturer warranty:

  • SIERRA (stainless steel): 2 years
  • FUSION (stainless steel): 2 years
  • ALU (aluminum): 5 years
  • Pivot (aluminum): 5 years

Measuring & installation

How do I measure the wall opening for my new door?

Our diagram shows the full door dimensions, including the frame. To measure correctly:

  • Measure from the finished floor inside your home (tile, wood, etc.) up to the top edge of the brick opening.
  • Make sure the opening is about 5–20 mm (roughly 0.2″–0.8″) larger than the door with its frame.
  • This extra space leaves room for insulating foam between the frame and the wall, for a secure fit.

Confirm your final door-and-frame measurements with your installer before ordering.

How does installation work?

Your door is delivered with its frame and a set of locks. SIERRA doors come prehung in the frame, ready for installation.

  1. Prepare the opening. It should be 0.2″–0.8″ (5–20 mm) larger than the door with its frame.
  2. Measure from the finished floor. Take the height from the finished floor inside your home (tile, wood, etc.) to the top of the opening.
  3. Set the frame and seal the gap. The door is fitted in the opening and the gap between the frame and the wall is filled with foam, which also insulates the joint.

Plan the work with your installer and confirm your final door-and-frame measurements with them before ordering. Not sure about your opening? Send us a photo and we’ll help with the details.

What single door sizes do you offer?

All sizes are for the door with its frame.

  • FUSION — width: 901 mm (79 cm door leaf), 951 mm (84 cm), 1001 mm (89 cm), 1051 mm (94 cm), 1101 mm (99 cm) or 1151 mm (104 cm door leaf); height: 2000–2400 mm
  • SIERRA — width: 807–1107 mm; height: 2000–2090 mm
  • ALU — width: 900–1550 mm; height: 2000–2860 mm

ALU B and Pivot size ranges are listed in the door line comparison.

How can I choose the door opening way?

Door lines & materials

What is the difference between ALU, ALU B, SIERRA, FUSION and Pivot doors?

All five lines are front doors delivered with a frame and a set of locks. They differ in material, insulation and hardware:

Which line suits you?

  • ALU — the best thermal insulation in the table (R-Value 8.3), a 7-point FUHR lock and triple glazing. A good choice if energy efficiency comes first.
  • ALU B — the same aluminum build, 7-point FUHR lock and triple glazing, with a slimmer 1.9″ foam core (R-Value 5.9). A good choice if you like the ALU hardware and don’t need maximum insulation.
  • SIERRA — stainless steel, prehung in the frame and ready for installation, with a ROTO multi-point lock. A good choice if you want a durable steel door that arrives ready to fit.
  • FUSION — stainless steel with a foam-and-wood core and dual seals, insulating better than SIERRA (R-Value 5.7 vs 4.8 for solid doors). A good choice if you want steel with more thermal performance.
  • Pivot — the door turns on a pivot instead of side hinges, comes in large sizes (up to 72″ wide and 116″ high with frame) and is rated RC2/WK2 for burglar resistance. A good choice for a statement entrance in a wide, tall opening.

Figures come from our product descriptions and apply to most models in each line; a few models list different values. A dash means no figure is published for that line. The product page and your quote for the exact configuration are what count.

Ask about a specific model

What are the doors made of?
  • SIERRA — made entirely of stainless steel, insulated inside with foam and wood and encased in a stainless steel sheet.
  • FUSION — an aluminum frame with a stainless steel door panel, insulated with foam and wood and covered in stainless steel.
  • ALU & Pivot — made entirely of aluminum, insulated with foam and covered with aluminum.

Is the side panel openable?

Yes, one panel is always openable on doors with a single panel. If the door has panels on both sides, neither panel is openable.

Which certifications and test results do your doors have?

Our Pivot doors have the following test classes:

  • Burglar resistance: RC2/WK2
  • Air tightness: class 4 (600 Pa)
  • Water tightness: class 4A (150 Pa)
  • Wind load resistance: class C3 (1200 Pa)

Technical documents for our other door lines are available on request. See our certificates or ask our team for the documents for your model.

Glass

What kind of glass is used in the front doors?

Our front doors use triple-pane glass, with all panes joined by spacer frames. Two of the panes have a Low-E coating, which helps limit heat gain and thermal energy loss while letting natural light through.

  • Standard glazing: 4th/16Ar/4/16Ar/4th
  • Safety glass: VSG 33.1 // 4 // 4
  • P4 anti-burglary glass

What types of glass can I choose?

We offer a wide range of glass: energy-saving, sound-absorbing, safety, anti-burglary and sun-protection. The most popular choices are milk (frosted) glass, decorative or mirror glass, and bronze reflex glass.

How much light does each glass type let through?

Light permeability of our decorative glass:

  • Milk (frosted) glass: 89%
  • Mirror glass: 68%
  • Graphite reflex glass: 42%
How does a one-way mirror work?

A one-way mirror has a thin reflective coating that reflects half of the light that hits it and lets the other half pass through, so the glass is both reflective and transparent. During the day, when it’s brighter outside, people outside can’t see into the building. At night, with the lights on inside, the mirror becomes transparent and people can see through the glass in both directions.
